7 - Are these the Last Days - Disobedient to Parents

Luke 21:28 (KJV) "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
"This know also, that in the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, blasphemers, disobedient to parents…"
One of the first things that a child learns is how to say no, usually to his mother or father. In my day a little slap on the glutenous Maximus would send a message to the cerebral cortex that that was unacceptable behavior. Now we live in a world where children not only disrespect their parents but, in many homes, they rule over their parents. Such a continuous practice of dishonor may even shorten one lifetime.
Exodus 20:12 (KJV) “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.”
Rather than being trained in righteousness by their parents, they choose the advice of their friends and peers over the Internet. And generally, follow the practice that is most rewarding of carnal pleasures and rebellion.
