6 - Are these the Last Days - Blasphemers

Updated: Sep 29, 2022

Luke 21:28 (KJV) "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

"This know also, that in the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters…blasphemers…"

According to Webster’s 1828 dictionary, blasphemy means to speak evil of the Supreme being in terms of impious irreverence; to revile or speak reproachfully of God, or the Holy Spirit. A blasphemer is one who speaks of God by words or writing; contemptuous or irreverent words uttered impiously against Jehovah. Mark 3:29 (KJV) “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:”

The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts man of sin and guides and directs the lives of Christians. To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is eternally dangerous. Using God’s holy name casually, such as OMG, is using God’s name irreverently. Also, it should be noted that God’s last name is not spelled with a ‘D’ and should not be part of any Christian's vocabulary. Things like this detract from the holiness of God.

This present world shows no respect for God or anything holy. Churches and pastors have become the enemies of our socialist and communist societies. But the Bible still says that at the end of time “every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the father.”
