4 - Are these the Last Days - Covetous
Updated: Sep 29, 2022
Luke 21:28 (KJV) "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."
This know also, that in the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous…
The dictionary defines covet as "to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others:" it is a strong desire to have what someone else has for something better—a desire to keep up with the Kardashian's. As Moses wrote in Exodus, chapter 20, do not covet anything.
Exodus 20:17 (KJV) "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox (truck), nor his ass (car), nor anything that is thy neighbour's."
You live in a society today where people desire to be one better than anyone around them, and in many cases, this jealousy leads to crimes, from small thefts to grand larceny. A definite sign the last days.
