3 - In the Last Days (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

…For men shall be lovers of their own selves

Self-love is defined as a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological, and spiritual growth. Self-love means having a high regard for your own well-being and happiness. Self-love means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well-being to please others. Self-love means not settling for less than you deserve. Today our society has taken self-love and turned it into a control issue where we review ourselves as more important than our neighbors. We have created a culture of specialists, which leaves do not just self-love but self-importance. We have politicians and so-called experts replace themselves first in importance to society. One example might be the photographs on the average cell phone. Many are taken using a selfie stick, and therefore the owner has a collection of pictures of themselves supposed of images of places, events, and even friends and family. It demonstrates that we are in the last days.
