Warning - Redemption - Judgement
Malachi 3:5 “For I am the LORD, I change not;”
When the wickedness of mankind had reached a point where God had to judge the evil of the world He had creates He proclaimed to Noah that He would destroy all flesh. Genesis 6:8 "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD." Noah was rescued but the unrepentant world perished.
When Sodom's evil had reached God's limit He sent two angels to find the righteous and save the city. Only four escaped and one of them turned back. Sodom was destroyed with fire and brimstone.
When the northern kingdom, Israel departed from God's word and sacrificed their children to the Canaanite god Baal, Israel was on the road to God's Judgement lead by Ahab and Jezebel. But at the end of their reign God raised up Jehu to call Israel back to God and stop the killing of their children. God stayed His judgement. But Israel continued the evil practices of Jeroboam in worshiping the two golden calves he setup in Israel. Therefore God "...removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria..."
1 Kings 17:23
When the southern kingdom Judah followed the evil practices of Manasseh, who setup alters of Baal and other gods in the temple God they were well on their way to God's judgement. God brought to the throne Josiah, an eight year old boy, who lead Judah back to repentance. However, after his death Judah returned to their evil worship of false gods. God judged when Nebuchadnezzar came and took Judah captive to Babylon.
In dealing with nations, comprised of God's people He always offers them a time to repent and return to Him before He destroys them in judgement. America, a nation founded on God's principles is in such a time. We are divided between leaders who want to return to God's righteous living and those who want to continue down the path toward God's wrath. And the control of the nation is in the hands of God's people.
2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
We need to humbly pray and seek God's will through prayer and He will Hear, forgive and heal our land of it's evil ways. However, if America follows the ways of those above God will bring about destructive judgement.
Hosea 4 6 "...seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
