Perilous Times
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." 2 Timothy 3:1
Last night in Manchester, UK, 22 people were killed and 59 wounded in an attack by Satan inspired, evil barbarians. Many of the killed and injured were children exiting the Ariana Grande concert. One was just eight years old. When children are targeted by evil people we have arrived at "perilous times" and are in what Timothy calls "the last days."
The rest of the chapter reveals the characteristics of the generation of the "last days" and reads like our current press reports and world news. It can be very depressing watching our country and world dip into the conditions shown in 2 Timothy 3. Evil seems to take control of mankind. Verse 13 says "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."
However, God does not leave us without any hope. for He says in Luke 21:28 "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." So Look Up because Jesus is coming soon.
